Charles Edward Hoffler, M.D.

 

Charles Edward Hoffler, II, Ph.D. M.D. is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in the hand and upper extremity.

He received his orthopedic training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He practiced general orthopaedic surgery at a level 2 trauma center and completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Hoffler is trained to manage a wide spectrum of upper extremity problems including bony and soft tissue trauma, nerve disorders, tendon disorders, arthritis and tumors of the upper extremity.

Dr. Hoffler earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and has research interests in radiation safety, upper extremity joint replacement, fracture healing biomechanics, image analysis, bone micromechanics and tissue engineering. He serves as a consultant reviewer for hand and biomechanics journals. Dr. Hoffler has a passion for patient care and strives to treat his patients with the best of evidence based medicine and state-of-the-art techniques. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is an educator, but has never stopped being a student.
